Elgin Pocket Watch # 15-480

This beautiful 14k yellow gold pocket watch has a 17j movement by Elgin.  The hunting case is etched on both sides with a floral and very regal motif.  The blank emblem is ready for an initialed etching.  The floral embellishment is adorned with a diamond. 

Diamonds have been coveted and used to embellish jewelry and accessories throughout the ages; the Greeks wore them into battle believing them to symbolize “inconquerability”. Diamonds are the birthstone of April and are given to commemorate 60^th anniversaries.  They symbolize innocence.  

This pocket watch includes a hunting case (closes on both sides) and the diamond accents an already beautiful floral design.  The maker’s inscription reads:
