14k Gold Opal Earrings # 14-431

These beautiful 14k yellow gold opal earrings are so gracious.  The oval-shaped opals are set using 4 solid prongs and they catch and reflect light rays as is so typical of opals. The earrings are made specifically for pierced ears. The stud is anchored off-center for a drop effect. 

The iridescent glow of the opal changes as it is exposed to different light and is a sign that the stone is precious.  Opals were a favorite of Queen Victoria; she gave them as gifts and wore them herself.  The ancient belief that opals were unlucky was transformed and they are now believed to bring good fortune.
