18K White Gold Diamond & Sapphire Ring # 11-332

This beautiful 18k white gold, diamond and sapphire ring is perfect for the most discriminating lady. Produced around 1920, the filigree design is symmetrical, boasting three round diamonds accented with two blue sapphires.

The 1920’s and 30’s ushered in the Art Deco period where popular motifs made use of geometric and abstract designs and a dramatic interplay of shimmery colors. Emeralds and diamonds were widely used as embellishments.

Filigree looks lacy and delicate but the pieces were die-struck with such force that it caused the metal to become denser and stronger.  Sapphire,  the birthstone for September, is given to commemorate 45th anniversaries, and symbolizes clear thinking.  Diamonds have been coveted and used to embellish jewelry and accessories throughout the ages; the Greeks wore them into battle believing them to symbolize "inconquerability". Diamonds are the birthstone of April and are given to commemorate 60th anniversaries. They symbolize innocence.

There is a barely noticeable chip on one sapphire and two minor wear spots on the ring.  Both flaws are shown in a picture below.  The ring is therefore further reduced.  As you will see in the pictures the ring is beautiful and when on your finger will appear flawless.
