14K White Gold Sapphire & Diamond Ring # 11-346

This beautiful 14k white gold sapphire and diamond ring is reminiscent of Tiffany settings. The deep blue sapphire, set high using 4 prongs, is accented by two diamonds. The 14k white gold band and setting add to the femininity and grace of the ring.

This ring was produced in the 1940’s – still during war-time, when indulgences were few and rare.

Diamonds have been coveted and used to embellish jewelry and accessories throughout the ages; the Greeks wore them into battle believing them to symbolize "inconquerability". Diamonds are the birthstone of April and are given to commemorate 10th, 30th, and 60th anniversaries. They symbolize innocence.

Sapphires became popular in the 1860’s and have been designated as the birthstone for September. They symbolize clear thinking.

There is a maker’s/designer’s mark inside the band.
