Victorian Diamond 14K Gold Ring # 11-321

This beautiful 14k yellow gold diamond ring is wonderfully unique and a perfect example of the designs in 1890. It was created using a 14K yellow gold setting with one 10 point round diamond set on 6 prongs.  During the Late Victorian and Edwardian Eras (1885-1910), clothing became lighter and softer. Jewelry also became lighter in scale often using flowers as motifs.

Diamonds have been coveted and used to embellish jewelry and accessories throughout the ages; the Greeks wore them into battle believing them to symbolize "inconquerability". Diamonds are the birthstone of April and are given to commemorate 10th, 30th, and 60th anniversaries. They symbolize innocence.

There is a slight bend on one front side of the ring.  It is barely noticeable and can be repaired.  The spot is marked on 2 pictures.
