18K White Gold Diamond Engagement Ring # 11-283

This beautiful 18k white gold diamond ring is dainty but exquisite. It was most likely an engagement ring for a very lucky lady. The center fine diamond is 6 points and the surrounding two diamonds are 2 pts each. The unique setting is solid and sturdy. It was created around 1920 as the Victorian/Edward Era gave way to the Art Deco Era.

During the Victorian and Edwardian Eras, clothing became lighter and softer. Jewelry also became lighter in scale often using flowers as motifs.

Inside the band is stamped FIDELITY 18K

Diamonds have been coveted and used to embellish jewelry and accessories throughout the ages; the Greeks wore them into battle believing them to symbolize "inconquerability". Diamonds are the birthstone of April and are given to commemorate 10^th, 30^th, and 60^th anniversaries. They symbolize innocence.
